• Toor Dal (aka Split Yellow Peas and sometimes referred to as split pigeon peas) are yellow lentils that are a staple in South Asian cuisine used in soups, curries, salads and stews. The oily version is preferred if you plan to store it for longer periods and should be washed well before consumption.
